Question:
The 5spd is coming out of a 88 F-150 2wd. Is there any difference in length or line for slave cylinder . Basically will there be any modifying?
Answers:
the biggest and most expesive modification will be the drive shaft. you may have to move the crossmember as well and the clutch splines will be different. speedo hookup might be a problem, as well as the hydraulics being from two different year models. it would be best to have the other truck available for the complete changover provided they are both the same wheelbase. ford was doing a lot of improvements to the clutch hydraulics during those years so look closely for any differences before you start the job.
Cost for installing a trailer hitch on a nissan pathfinder?
Gary is right... I would get mighty expensive and become a big pain in the you know what. I don't think it is worth it to tell you the truth. You could buy a new Ford F-150 for the time and money you would invest in that modification.More Questions & Answers ...
