we sold our 85 Accord, std, 186,000 mi for $3000 (in 2003), the kid who bought it is still driving it around. (of course it was spotless and we kept all the maint up, records and all)
It had NEVER had any major work, everything (but the tires) was original.

pppI have a 1975 cutlass supreme mint shape how much could i get for it?
no, not really. it would have to be super fast and super reliable with nothing wrong whatsoever. then maybe. i would only give you a few hundred for such a mileage old car. even though its a honda, it has close to 200,000 on the engine and 16 years on the body and everything else.My 1999 dodge durango transmission is frozen in N help! what do I do?
by the time you finish paying all the bills to keep it on the road every time it goes bad, it wont be worth it.
How would I find someone to put a new engine in my 1976 VW van? We live in Memphis, TN?
noHow does the Honda Ridgeline perform off road?
yeah, Honda's are great cars and they will last forever. 2 years ago I traded in my 1991 Accord LX with 135,000 on it and i got 2700 for a trade in.Can 18 inch rims fit on a mercedes c230 kompressor without raising the car?
I sold my 86' accord 2 years ago with 277,000 miles on it for $2500. You always take a chance with buying an older used car but it could quite possibly be a good car for you. Have a mechanic peek at it, usually the timing belts are the main maintenance concern in Hondas, I forget how often but you might want to ask the seller about that one. Good luck I hope it works out for you. Most decent modern cars, with minimal care, should go 200,000 miles with little or no problems. That said, however, a lot can happen to a car in 16 years and 185,000 miles, so unless you KNOW that it's been EXTREMELY well taken care of it's entire life, it's probably a lousy buy -- more of a $500. car.
Which is d most xpensive car??
No - even a Honda that old is only worth 1000-1200. I just bought a 1992 Maxima 6 cyl. automatic for 750 and it runs great.I got a '92 prelude with about 119,000 for $3200. Like someone said, you might want to have a mechanic look at it, but Hondas are reliable cars and can run forever if they're well maintained.
Where can I find some reasonably priced wheel cylinders for the front of my 1959 VW panel van?
there is no chance a Honda's good for 300,000 it's not American junk, cars like that Honda are why fords going bankruptV.w. tuning, 1st & 2nd. gear runs good, bogs down in 3rd & 4th?
my son bought himself a '78 civic for $1200 in good shape so compare----probably not a bad deal. I've always been to stay under 200,000 mileage when buying a carConsidering a 5 year old Mercedes CLK, is there specicic reasons I would go to the 320 or 430?
I would say you would be lucky to get 1000. But then list it for what you think and go from there. Sell the car based on the service maintenance history.no unless they mean there is 185,000 on the body and they put a new engine in it.i wouldnt pay that much for a 91 honda
Is It True That GM is planning on buying Chrysler?
I've seen Hondas with 300,000 miles on them before, so 185K on a car thats 16 or 17 years old isn't so bad. You should ask the owner about the following issues and test drive the car yourself; when the timing belt, clutch, brakes and tires were last changed, find out the oil change schedule. When driving, make sure you dont hear any eratic noises (keep in mind the car will idle roughly when the car first starts), especially making sure the wheel doesnt shake much when braking (could be a sign of needing new bake rotors). Ask for any receipts of previous work to show proof. Im sure others can make ammendments to my suggestions...96 Intrepid shakes while idling...?
If you can get to under $1500 and there are no problems it might actually be a pretty good deal.
