Does anyone know if any company is making or plans on making struts for 2006 wrx(non-sti).?
the most common problem with these cars shutting off while driving is a bad distributor. if u have a v-6 model. i have even seen aftermarket (autozone & such) distributors take a dump 10 miles after someone has installed a (brand new) replacement.spend the extra mula & buy a name brand dist.
u can test it by rigging up a timing light & when the motor shuts off pop the hood. have a friend crank it & watch the timing light bulb. is it flashing at all? is it erraticly flashing? both are bad signs 4 the dist.
I can't see your Mazda from here.
Somehow I sense that you are describing some kind of mechanical problem with it.
If you are now using a computer then it is likely that you are near a telephone. Do you think maybe if you called a mechanic you would get a better answer than from wasting your time asking about it here?
Compression test pressure on an 11 HP Honda engine?
OK , if your engines just dies , then after 20 min or so , the engine restarts ? does your electrical power goes away and then comes back or just the engine , if you still have power , ( the engine still cranks but , wont start, it seems to be the problem , with your ignition coil is overheating and shuts off , have it checked , also check your fuel pump and filter . hope this helps.MKIII supra Transmission swap? Auto to Manual?
I dont know how much you know about cars, so if this sounds like im explaining this to a nu-b, sorry.you start with the obvious. Tighten your battery cables. Youre gonna look pretty stupid if you take the car in, and thats the problem.
Does it overheat or not? To see if you have a blockage in the coolant system, touch the radiator hoses the next time you drive it for a considerable distance. Both hoses should be warm, if they arent, thats more then likely your problem.
You would want to replace the thermostat and give the coolant system a flush. kl03 engines are also known to have faulty water pumps. so, that could be the problem if its overheating.
i agree with the other poster somewhat on the ignition coil. kl03 engines are notorious for having bad ignitions... its not just the coil, but the entire distributer/ignition... however, if you dont have the kl03 (v6) engine, then you have no distributer or coil, but instead, coil packs. and that would pretty much cancel out the common ignition problem.
the next thing you would do is pull the codes.
Why the production of the Smart Car was stopped?
pop the hood and find the diagnostic port. take off the cover and stick one end of a paper clip in the "TEN" (test engine) and the other in the "GND" (ground) holes. then turn on your car, dont start it, just turn it to "on" or "acc".
If you have any problems that can be identified, the check engine light will flash. count the number of flashes.
It will give you a series of flashes, and you read them as so:
flash..long pause..flash..flash..flash is code 13
flash..short pause..flash..long pause..flash flash..flash..flash..flash is code 25
if you have any codes, ask another yahoo question.
When was the last time routine maintenance was performed? i mean if you have 200,000 mile old spark plugs/wires... that would probably be a good place to start the diagnosis.
You also might want to clean the throttle body and iat sensor (located inside the throttlebody).
It should take an hour or so to take off the throttle body, and spray it clean with a bottle of tb cleaner.
do that and if you no longer have problems, then youre good to go, if you still have the problem, post another question and be sure to tell us what steps youve taken to resolve the issue..
I wanted to know if there is any difference with the F150 Northland Edition?

What is a slip yoke eliminator and what is it's purpose?
Warm engine to operating temperature and turn ignition "OFF."
Install jumper wire between TEN and GND terminals of data link connector.
Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
If MIL illuminates for 3 seconds, goes off, and stays off, no codes are present.
If MIL illuminates, then starts flashing, record codes.
When all codes have been recorded, remove jumper wire.
