I smell GAS in my 1993 Honda accord?

Question:
When I crank my car up I sometimes smell gas. What is causing this and would it cause me to fail my emmisions test? (I live in Texas) It also runs Hot when I am sitting in traffic or at a drive through or something. Can somebody pleas help?

Is the ford sho compatible with the ford tauras?

Check for leaks in the exhaust and fuel lines, plus get you fuel delivery system cleaned.
Check the coolant strength and the thermostat and water pump.

1.Could be the fuel mixture too rich. Have the carborator adjusted so fuel and water mixture is corrected. 2. Check your thermostat as to the running hot part. Could be low on antifreeze, too.
