Question:
A buddy of mine is putting together a mustang 5.0 litre. He wanted to know if his combo on his motor was ok. Its a rebuilt low compression ratio hyper pistons. RV camshaft I dont know the specs and a supercharger he pulled off of a super coupe T bird. I would have said its ok build but with a large cam is this going to be ok? Before I forget its stock heads and a stealth weiand intake 600 cfm edelbrock carb.

Your friend...LOL should go get one of thease.......http://bradbarnett.net/mustangs/concept/...Is the pontiac trans am on display?
your buddy can be like most rednecks and slap a e303 with a cobra intake and some p heads with some dumps, tell him find a wrecked 03 cobra and yank the drive train out of it and put it in his carwhen are they going to get anew gm and get rid of coachman and re pace him with shone cold?
I like to know how he plans on mounting that Edelbrock on the Eaton when it's an end feed. the blower is set up for 10 lbs on the TBird so that should be ok, but how is he working out the differences from EFI to carb :)why there is no toyota previa in the u.s.?
sounds to me your buddy has taken every easy approch to build and engine. he just put on every piece of crap he could find. if it runs it will be a short trip before he melts down those pistons.a stock t-bird would have been the better car to keep.2004 Suburban with a 5.3 liter. Is it a 323 c.i. or a 325 c.i.?
It is going to depend on the cam shaft specs. You can't add a supercharger to just any cam, lobe separation and duration are going to play a big part in this as well as what the compression is and how much boost he is going to try to runideas on customizing my 03 gmc truck and maybe pictures so i can get a visual?
no super charger will not support motor its built for3.8 not 5.01998 Honda Civic Gas/Engine Problem?
Hypertec pistons are NOT for super charging, a lumpy cam will let the boost out before it can build up in the cylinder, cam specs have to very closely match the s/c, I had my cam custom ground for this, what about the bottom end of the motor ? Stock crank with a s/c ? That won't last long, it should be rolled forged steel, nothing less, a lot more is required when building up a blown engine, I had to change over from a stock (NEW) 5.0 block, to a sportsman block ($750 bare) prior to a few yrs ago, you had to use an SVO block ($2000 bare), you have to start from the bottom of the engine up, these motors were NOT designed for positive pressure from a s/c, this must be done right, or the results are a melted mill. What about the heads ? Ya gonna "O-Ring" them ? If not, you're gonna have a lot of blown head gaskets from a s/c, is he going to hook up a "Waste gate" ? Whats he gonna do with all that boost built up after he comes off the throttle ?drawings for a ford galaxly towbar?
