Question:
I have a 2000 Durango (5.9/360). When I moved from Florida to Washington State, my check engine light came on. So, I had it checked out and it was #6 cylinder misfire. I changed the spark plug thinking that it would fix it. I was wrong. I replaced all the plugs, wires, distrubution cap and rotor. I even replaced the fuel injector. Other than a cracked head..what else could it be? (I can hear a little knocking.but I'm not a 100%) Thanks for any advice!

I am thinking of buying a Ford Focus 2.0 Estate Ghia what are the snags with this car ownership etc?
You do not say if you feel the missing on the engine or if it is constant, or if the car runs fine and the light just sets without any apparent reason, check with a nod light if the injector is receiving the signal from the pcm(computer)and check the compression in the cylinder and compare with specs, or compare with next cylinder, that is the only things left to do, and remember, Cylinder #1 is to the front to the left if you are in the driver seatCracked piston? Valves not sealing? Head gasket?

Hmmmmm. Have you done a compression check and compared the cylinders?
Exhaust man??
i would find out if the emissions requirments are the same from where you came and where you went , if not you may need to have the system adjusted, as far as the knocking that could be something as stupid as bad gas.
Whining noise at 30 and 60 mph - '98 Chrysler Sebring?
i also have a durango w/360 every time my check engine light comes on i get out, take my gas cap off and put it back on and click it about a dozen times. i know this doesn't help you now, but later it might. mine also makes a knocking noise, i found out its only a heat sheild rattling. just a dumb question, how did you afford the gas for this trip, win the lottery?More Questions & Answers ...
