I wonder if anyone with a FORD FOCUS 1.8 Zetec E engine has had a timing belt change and if so do they know what was actually renewed.

Usually it best practice to change timing belt .rollers and spring loaded belt tensioner .You dont say how many miles are on the clock its recomended belt is changed 75k miles. very expensive to repair engine if old belt breakes

i had timing belt, timing belt kit which inc roller bearing pulleys tensioner, i also had water pump....
it didn't cost any more money in labour just about £60 extra in parts.
the main reason timing belt brake is a pulley or tensioner gives out

On ford focus 1.8 zetec when it comes to changing the timing belt there is a kit that comes with the belt idler and tensioner and the belt is usally changed at 100.000miles unless something is wrong or the job required it... Hope this is of use to you
