Mk2 Polo electrical fault??HELP!!?

Question:
Hey guys and girls..
Let me pick your brains a little. I have a Mk2 polo 93 1L and i have got a problem in that the oil and temp warning lights both stay on after the engine has started. I have changed the oil sensor and I have checked that there is oil pressure ,which there is. there must be an electrical fault somewhere but Its beyond me and my trusty haynes manual has let me down this time. Anyone out there got a clue?

What is the ETS button on my car for?

You need to find the earths that are connected to the bulbs, then run in a new earth this should close the cicuit and turn the light out, it sounds like both warning light use the same earth wire, check on loom diagrm in the back of haynes manual.

Not an expert but sounds like either you still have a faulty sensor, or alternatively a short somewhere (but not as likely as a faulty sensor).
