no I dont thinks so. you want more narrow tires not bigger. You want tires to dig into snow not stay or glide above the snow. Bigger and wider tires will not dig and will just glide or slip above it. Ask tire place when you go to get your tire change.

If you live in a state that will permit you to use studded tires then please do so. There are some tires you could buy called Blizzak's. There rated one of the top winter tires to buy. The reason I'm telling you these options is because, if you put those chains on? There not known to stay on the tire for long periods of time.
