Renault Scenic Rear Seats stick?

Hi. The rear seats (all 3 of them) are stuck and I can't tilt them in order to put a large load in. The seat backs lower fine. Any ideas? Thanks

It's French: use a large hammer and a block of wood. The hammer is to hit the seats with (and the rest of the car) and the block of wood is for hitting yourself with to remind you not to buy a French car again!
