Depending on where the car is manufactured will have a large bearing on the sound of the engine overall. A European car will have a sound that reasonates higher then that of american. Japanese cars will have a longer lasting sound since they have a much higher RPM rev limit. American cars, are generally much rougher and lower since the displacement is much larger overall. You can gain just about any sound you want from a genearl engine. Find the size you want and get accurate accounts of discplacement and airflow. Match them to the car of your dreams and with a little work on intake systems and exhaust, you can have a great sounding car that is functional, withint your price range, and a head turner as well.
