How is the Peugeot 407 saloon?

i work for peugeot and i will tell you that the engines are great very little goes wrong.
road holding is excelent and if you go for the diesel you get super fuel economy
lots of people are using them for taxis as they are so reliable
only problem they seem to have is bottom ball joints are very weak and they go in about 8000-9000 miles
they are under warranty but wait till you see it will be on watchdog soon

I would say they are reliable cars, but the automatic transmission is not very pleasant. I recommend manual greabox.
Beside it is a great design. Choose the 2.2 liters engine, the HDi Diesel is a good engine too.
