make sure your tyres arent too big, about 17" is perfect because the bigger you go the more you take away from acceleration. give your airfilter a very good clean. put in new spark plugs and line the gap of the spark plug up with the inlet, the engine will burn much better. drain your coolant an put the mix at 30%coolant 70% water, it cools faster so drains less power. take all unnecessary weight out of the car. tighten your accelerator so there is no slack bit at the start of it (but not too much it will cause the car to start reving without you doing anything), run a few tankfulls of petrol with a octane booster that is a engine cleaner too. do all these cheap and easy things and i can guarantee you will feel a difference.Don't put a switch on the alternator it's a stupid idea and won't make a blind bit of difference as the belt and alternator will still be turned by the engine, also you'll drain your battery as the electrical system will have to get power from somewhere.The intercooler is out as well unless you have a turbo.
