My car is making a crazy noise?

Question:
I drive a standard Nissan Xterra and lately it has been making this loud noise on and off. the noise speeds up with my car and it makes it almost sound like a go cart.. I had it briefly checked out by my mechanic.. he said that its not a safety issue but he thinks it could just be a lose spring or something that is rubbing..... what do i do?

I also suggest a different mechanic as this one say's it is not a safety issue but doesn't know what is wrong. Not to bright in my book.

From what you describe, it could be a number of things however as it was said and I agree, I doubt it's anything unsafe
