the cars have a tub frame, so structural rigidity is just not there in an unmodified Jetta. consider front and rear sway bars, strut tower bar, camber plates, coilover suspension...the way that the body twists in corners lends itself to massive understeer, which is no fun, and would need to be corrected first off.

i'm turning my 2003 Jetta into a street performance car one piece at a time. so far i have modified the clutch and differential so it will be able to handle the power from the turbo i have planned for it. I also got the stance and suspension performance where i think it should be. i still need to get a set of sport spindles and a better front sway bar before i'm satisfied with the suspension.
