When driving it bogs and loses rpm. I have to pull over and turn engine off. After a few minutes can start engine and drive again. Have replaced fuel filter but didn't help. Does anyone know what my problem may be?

Edit: How can it be the starter. It starts fine and its not seizing so its not the starter.

Check the starter. Fords tend to have a problem with the starters. Happened to me in a '94 Taurus.Yes, you have a Ford. That's you first problem.

All the above are possible causes. I would also check the gas tank filler cap. If it's not venting the tank properly, a vacuum will be created in the gas tank, and prevent the fuel from flowing to the carburetor/injectors/throttle body. you need to check the fuel pressure while the concern is happing. most liky a failing fuel pump.could also be a failing catilist you would have to do a delta test on them

Here are the possibilities.1- Catalytic converter is stopped up
2- MAF sensor is going bad
3- Low fuel Pressure

There is not to many things that can cause this. Its really sounds like your cat converter went bad. As the system gets hot the converter is clogging the exhaust system causing too much back pressure and the motor to bog down and finally stall. As it cools down the pellets inside the converter contract thus opening up the exaust again. Most tune up parts would not cause this to happen. The only one that could is the coil or the module in the Distribuitor. I have seen them heat up and cause problems but not usually bogging, just mis fir or a total no start when hot problem. A decent mechanic should find the problem with out too much difficulty. If it is the converter expect a heafty bill. They are not the worlds most expensive part but close to it.
