I will start with cheap things that are effective in making cars go faster and work my way up.

One last note about exhaust systems. Just getting the "biggest" exhaust system you can afford is usually a waste of money and power since you will be losing back pressure just to make your car sound like it had a bad burrito of a "roach coach" at lunch. Prrrrrrrffft!!
