When you have the rear end of your car jacked up and on jack stands you'll find 2 straps holding the gas tank in place. Locate the bolts and loosen them, put a flat board on your floor jack so as not to damage the bottom of the tank. Then with the floor jack up under the tank, take the bolts out. After you do this the straps will be loose, lower the tank slowly because there will be a 1 or 2 plugs connected to your fuel meter and you'll have to reach up and disconnect them. Then you should be able to lower it the rest of the way. On some tanks you may also have to unhook the gas line and vapor canistor line to get the tank down. Just go slow and look it over on top good before you drop it all the way out.
