If they are the same model #'s. Turbo 350 or turbo 400 they will exchange with some possible minor modifications. You can swap one for the other with minor mods. You may have to use your linkage and tail shaft housing. Check the drive line for length. Be sure the starters are on the same side for both units. U should always replace the front and rear seals in any swap and be sure the torque converter is seated in the pump b4 u bolt it tight. If the motor won't turn over, then you did not seat the converter. Loosen up the bell housing bolts and unbolt the converter until you can turn it easy. Keep turning it and it should move back 1/4 to 1/2 inch and fall into the pump slots. Re-bolt the unit and try it again.
