I have a 98 Ford Explorer Sport the parties who had it before me did not take care of it. Can anyone tell me how to fix the inside of my car without paying an arm and a leg to do it. It needs new carpet, seat belts hang and arm rest is completly tore up, light is out on the dash for the fuel gage and radio 2 and 4 button is not lit etc.

i agree with the navel jelly for the rust. my parents old neighbor( a very wise man ) recommended that for rust before. as far as the rest go to your local junkyard for the parts.the carpet will be hardo find but you may have luck. if not you could substitute i think its called burber carpet(THIN STUFF LIKE USED IN OFFICE BUILDINGS).good luck!esc light on mercedes mimibus?

you can get carpet and arm rest and the other stuff out of a salvage yard pretty cheap I got every thing in my pick-up for $200 that was every thing on the inside. (I found a really cool engagement ring under the carpet when I pulled it up.) It depends on how "hands on" you want to be w/ replacing the stuff in your Explorer the more you can do the less you have to pay some one to do it for you.as far as Lights and the gages not working did you check your fuses?Where are Ford pickup diesel engines produced.?
