2002 Jeep Wrangler with high idle @ 1300 RPMs?

Question:
Took to local mechanic who says he tried replacingTPS and IAC motor. Diagnostic Codes are P0505, P0123, P1294 and point to 1 of these 2 parts. When I am driving and depress the clutch, engine revs up and down erratically between 1500 and 2500 RPMs. Suggestions?

Popping noise coming from a 1972 Chevrolet C10 350?

it has a bad vacuum leak..probably intake gasket..
with it idling squirt water around on the engine with a squirt bottle..you will hear it when you find the leak

How do you change an intake manifold on a 93 Buick ?

Did anyone check the PCV valve or the rest of the vacuum lines? Sometimes a vacuum leak will cause another symptom and not leave a diagnostic code. Another thing you need to ask your mechanic is: Is there a RELEARN procedure? If components are replaced and battery voltage interrupted, you may have to go through a "relearn procedure" to teach the engine haw to run again!

Do you think that Ford will be out of business?

I think your Mech May have not Adjusted the new TPS properly They are very sensitive And need fine tuning after installation With an Ohmmeter. You May Need to bight the big bullet And actually take it to (sigh)a dealership to have it done right.
