I have the chance to buy a 99 Malibu. Car runs good and looks excellent. Paint is good no scratches, dents or rust. Interior is in mint condition. CD player and cassette deck built in (who still owns a cassette tape anymore). Oh and its an LS. Overall price 2400.00 (We know the dealer). So opinions good or bad?

Malibu is an Exelent car. The name carries the stutus.well from my personal experiances with the 99 I found it to be a very reliable vehicle. I had the 99 cutlass which is basically the same car with a few cosmetic differences. I ran the heck out of mine but the main problem I had was the abs in the front wheels acting up.. took the shop many many tries to get it fixed right at my expense and what ever you do don't ever buy one of them bumper to bumper warranties that dealers offer on used cars.. They aren't worth the paper they are written on..
I think these are an excellent car with a reliable motor/trans package. The electronics seem to be okay without too many major problems. There are quirks to them, but not enough to say no good. Go ahead, sounds like a hell of a deal!
Can I fit 32x11.50 or even 32X12.50 on my 04 rubicon without a lift? how much rubbing if yes?
the LS option is probablay a v6. i have a 99 w/ the 2.4 "quad" 28mpg city/31 hwy. yours will be lightly less. Mine has 120,000 miles and 1 alternator( major item) . Other than tires, brakes( keep an eye on them as they have been known to wear premature) and oil changes, it's been a great car. you 're getting a good car for a good price. test drive it to a mechanic and get a second opinion.More Questions & Answers ...
