Got it into four wheel drive but will not actuate or ingadge into two wheel drive what the F!?? I push the button and the light just flickers and I hear a noise coming out of the passanger kick panel what is going on??

the right way to do this, is to take your jimmy to a local dealer and have them plug the scanner and extract the code that will tell you the failure.... of course there is a diagnostic charge for this service.usually one hour. then you can decide if you want to have it fixed at the dealer or replace the part yourself.Is purple Chrysler Sebring generally a chick car or can men drive it without being tagged gay?

the noise you hear at the right side kick panel is the transfer case control module attempting to preform the requested shift, that's where GM installed the module. very easy to access.
Many times there is water intrusion in that area , with the key off, disconnect the module and look at both plugs make sure there's no corrosion , remove the 3 retaining 10mm nuts that secure the module & inspect the prongs.
If all is ok plug it back, turn the key on, attempt to shift from 4 hi
to 2 hi many times the module resets. if you're in 4 lo you need to place transmission in neutral to preform shift.
if you still can't shift, then probable cause is the encoder motor locked up.(motor on side of t/case)

sounds like problems, they are known for that, could be a fuse, but if you hear noise thats prolly not it. They can get stuck but most of the time you should be able to shift from D to R and back WHILE THE CAR IS STOPPED! other wise you could severely damage the tranny, but do that slowly letting it fully engage in gear and then move it back, if that doesn't work just drive it off a bridge because you might need a new transfer case.

My jeep after going from 4wd to 2wd has to be put in reverese for 10 feet to disengage the 4wd. Just dont be going very fast when you do this. If this doesnt work you may have bigger issues with your transfer case.When will the new 07 toyota tundra hit dealerships?

Very well could be the actuator, but try this before bringing some where. I know on my 98 Z71 when i go from 2 hi to 4 lo or vise versa 4 lo to 2 hi I have to put it in reverse to make it swap. from 2 hi to 4 hi I can **** it on the fly, Just the 4 lo.
