Any auto that size will be thirsty - if you MUST get one of these paper 4x4's, get a manual diesel - better still get a Discovery.
Freelanders are notoriously unreliable, and suffer many gremlins. At least you haven't got the bloody awful K series engine, but the V6 is known for chomping through head gaskets as well, so don't get too relaxed just yet. The gearboxes are dreadfully weak, and the electrical system on Freelanders is known for giving trouble. The drive shafts and 'Tracta' joints also break up internally, so that's more money up your shirt.

what is the bhp on a 2000 honda accord 2.0 se vtec tiptronic?
When the AA did a survey of all cars bought between 2000 and 2006 the most unreliable (by a good margin) was the Discovery, and second least reliable was the Freelander. Apparently 1 in 4 has a major break-down every year, serious. There's no room in them, they're rubbish off-road, and look at the re-sale prices. My mum had one and even as a blonde woman she found it cr4p. Look on some of the forums - don't ask the dopes that already have one, they're not likely to tell you they're rubbish - you might buy theirs.
