Why are there no small or mid size diesel pickup trucks on the market?

The current generation Ford Mustang GT is an FR (front engine-rearwheel drive) coupe that comes with a 4.6L V8 engine that produces 300 HP. That sounds like a lot, but when you consider how much more German manufacturers can get out of a V8, it doesn't sound like a lot anymore. Consider, for example, an Audi RS4 sedan that comes with a 4.2L V8 (that revs up to 8,250 RPM as opposed to the Mustang's paltry 6,000 RPM redline) that produces a whopping 420 HP! The power---or lack of it---in the Mustang is a result of Ford's lack of initiative to invest in research and development. It looks nice, but it's not much of a sports car because it's underpowered and has a live rear axle (ancient suspension where multi-link or independent suspension systems would be better at getting the power down).

Anyone know what a 67 jaguar roadster in good ruining condition is worth. (rough estimate.)?

The Mitsubishi Eclipse GT, on the other hand, is an FF (front engine-frontwheel drive) coupe powered by a 3.8L V6 that produces 263HP. The Eclipse's layout isn't ideal for a sports car because the absolute power limit for FF cars is about 220 HP. Any more power and you get torque steer during hard acceleration. As a sports car, its handling isn't that great as FF cars tend to understeer in corners and lose more of their front-end grip because the front tires have to steer and drive the car (as opposed to FR's where only the front wheels steer and the rear do the driving). Considering the Eclipse is a Mitsubishi, you really have to be careful as Mitsubishi hasn't been very consistent with the quality of their cars in recent years. Style-wise, the car looks too futuristic for me.

87 JEEP WRANGLER w/4.2L STARTING PROBLEMS?

The Mustang looks better and has a better layout, but its power and suspension deficiencies do not do it any favors. The Eclipse is about showing off what it's got, but what it's got isn't exactly what you're looking for in a sports car. Both cars approach style differently, where the Mustang looked to its roots, the Eclipse looked to the future with a shape that looks more like a wedge than a car.

What's it going to take for Dr. Z to unload Chrysler?

Mustang is faster..Eclipse looks better...Mustangs are made cheap and have mechanical problems..Eclipse will run forever..Everyone and their mom has a Mustang..Eclipse's are not as common.

I have a white commodore vg ute wondering what colour wheels to get chrome or shadow chrome?

What is the proper fuse layout for a 2000 ford mustang. What would cause the instrument lights not to work.?

The new Eclipse looks stupid and its not well proportioned! I would take the Mustang GT. It isn't supposed to be a 'sports car' -- it is a somewhat economical new-age Pony car. The comparison to the RS4 is ridiculous since the RS4 is about twice as expensive. Its obvious that the Germans produce better engines, but that particular comparison made little if any sense. Mitsubishi's are also not reliable cars AT ALL. I have 2 friends with brand new Galants, and they both have had issues within their 10k marker. The EVO is the only Mitsubishi that is built rock solid. The Stang is faster and looks better. They probably both have equal reliabilty and refinement, though I prefer the Stangs interior.
