My jeep is surging then dying after it warms up, i have put on: new dist.cap, plugs, fuel filter,?

In fact, and this is quite the cooincidence, i just installed the 1986 Small block V8 last week into my 1980 (formerly equipped with a V6). I didn't have any problems mating the larrger engine to the tranny, i did have to remove the brake master cylinder, though, to make room for the larger engine.
