Prices on engine that will run in 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo V8?

I currently have a 318 (5.2L) V8 in my Jeep but its nearing 200k miles and I wanted to know the alternatives that i could replace the engine with or the exact replacement and the prices.

if you engine still runs i would recommend you have it rebuilt. if you buy an exchange or a different engine you really don't know what you have. an exchange engine could have been blown up or had cracked cylinders or a bad crankshaft that's been welded. if you have your engine rebuilt you know what your starting with. if your engine is toasted then consider a different one. use a reputable shop and engine re builder. good luck
