I am considering purchasing a Ford Explorer Sport Trac. Anyone who has owned or does own one of these vehicles; how has it been for you? What sort of problems have you come across with it? etc. Your help would be greatly appreciated!

there are an excellent truck great motor and trans. that motor trans combo has been around for 12-13 years now so all the bugs are worked out keep a regular maint. schedule and youwill love it

No problems at all. I just prefer the regular Explorer better. If I wanted a truck (with a bed) I would buy an F-150 rather than the Sport Trac. If I didn't need a bed, I'd buy the Explorer or the Ford Edge which gets better mileage.

Got a s10 want to fix it up?

My girlfriend has one and she loves it. She shopped about a bit and found one and it has leather and full power everything. They are good trucks and lots of space with the 4 doors. Cheap to get fixed as the engines are pretty common. I am actually from the UK but moving to LA in June and that is what i want to buy. I have been looking at them for a while. Either that or a Ranger crew cab. Do you want to buy new or used. You could get a 2001 in good shape with low miles for between 8 and 10k.
