Vw passat tdi 130 esp warning light coming on?
the light has to be shut off by a Honda dealer using their scan tool.the probability is that the light is coming on because of a switch failure inside the seatbelt buckle of the driver's seat. The switch is used to tell the control unit for the supplemental restraint system (SRS) that you have the seat belt fastened. The air bag will deploy at different rates depending on whether or not you are using the seat belts. Anyway, the act of buckling the seat belt forces dust and debris into the buckle that keeps the switch open circuited and turns the light on. Honda has a lifetime warranty on the seat belts so if thats the case they will replace the buckle for you at no charge. Its almost always the buckle if the car hasn't been in an accident.

your airbags will not work until that light is shut off, so wear your seat belts and have it looked at asap.
Take to your favorite Mechanic. Its probably a weight sensor problem that can be fixed quickly by a mechanic. Get it fixed ASAP because you want your air bafgs to work , right?

Did your airbags go off? If so the light will not go off untill you reset the sensor and replace the air bags.I have a friend with a 2000 and the SRS light went on in it too. Had to do with the sensors I believe. Call Honda and see if there is an out of warranty free repair or possibly an unannounced Honda recall on this one. Some say it is sensors others say computer.

remove your guage pod, find the light that illumintes the srs warning,,,,,then remove the bulb. It will take less than 15 minutes and its free.1997 Escort 4 door - temperature and fuel gauges are not reading correctly?
Your airbags may not work but hey,.,.they are overrated anyways. Take it from someone who has had several deploy.they suck!
