yes the tranny will bolt up and work. (TCCA) a guy turned his auto Taurus in to a manual w/ the auto tranny case, you will just have a bug issue with the computer so its not worth it, you have a vss and a vrs (vehicle speed sensor / vehicle range sensor) which are both controlled through the pcm so you will have to find a pcm to fit that vehicle for an auto which is about $500 or more.

There are no gears that must match a transfer case. The front end and rear end gears must be the same to use 4 wheel drive or you will explode the T-case. Unfortunately I cant answer the question. You may want to cal a local junkyard and ask them. They have the books or computer program to answer the question.
