Question:
I have the dash installed round rear wiper control in my Explorer (Motorcraft SW5207). This wiper works whenever it wants to work. From the day I bought this truck, it has worked off and on. I have taken it to the dealer twice, and each time it would work for a while and then not work again until it feels like it. The only consistent thing that works is that when i push it to shoot wiper fluid. It does not work all the time when I twist it to turn on the wiper though. I think that it might only be the switch not working because there is electricity going through to operate the fluid to shoot. Any ideas?

How do you get into the dash speakers on a 2000 Dodge Caravan?
I own a shop, and I can tell you this; There must be a loose connection between the switch and the wiper motor. If it were the fuse it wouldn't work at all. The problem is; you may have to remove an awful lot of interior components to get to the wires. One place to look though is where the wires come through the body to the window/door that opens. They are bad to break the wires there due to opening, and closing the window/door. Also; look at the ground strap that comes from the motor to the body of the vehicle, not the door. If it is grounded to the door and not the body, then you may have a rust problem with the hinges that is keeping it from getting a proper ground.Glad to help out, Good Luck!
What does TESCO PETROL do to your car The Naff stuff?
Well, the switch works 2 different circuits, the wiper and the wash.Sound like the wash is ok, so the wiper motor on the hatch is probably bad. Turn it on, if it doesn't start, try opening and closing the hatch, it will jar the motor, if it starts, replace the motor. They are notorius for going out.Hope it helps.
