Question:
I used to have a piece of shi# 1998 white V6 Camaro that I hated so, so much. One of the reasons I hated it was because it got a sad 19-20 MPG (highway miles included) ever since I got it when it had only 24,447 miles in 2001.
I have a 88 prelude si it's turning over but the engine not turning to crank what could that be?
It is the power to weight ratio? Has anyone experienced bad gas mileage like that when yet it's 8-cylinder cousin actually did better in MPG?

Whats wrong with my vw golf MK4 1.9 GT TDI?
I've got a 98 V6 Firebird that gets anywhere from 25 to 30mpg. It must have just been that car. Maybe something was causing it to run really rich. Who knows. But the V6's normally get much better gas mileage than the V8's.yes, that is exactly right. The V6 has to work harder to move the same amount of weight as the V8.

Here is what I get on my V8 Camaros:What does the check engine light mean in my 2002 Toyota Echo?
1999 Z28 (6-speed manual): 20.7 mpg
1994 Z28 (4-speed auto): 6.3 mpg (don't ask...)
Anyway, the 1999 is stock, and I drive it fairly conservatively. I think the best I've ever gotten was near 25 mpg, and that was pure highway. I just can't see a V8 getting better mileage than a V6, assuming both engines are running efficiently and are similar in age.
Does Toyota Rav4 Limited has an inbuilt GPS or as an option to add while purchasing?
I've noticed in my GM trucks that the 4.3L V6 gets identical (no better) mileage than the 5.3L V8. I drive them both easy (in an attempt to get the best mileage). How can I replace the headlight assembly on my Ford Festiva?
I think it just takes so much fuel to move the bulk of a (relatively) heavy pickup (or whatever vehicle) around, regardless of the engine. On the highway (75mph) the V6 must downshift a lot more to hold speed against the wind and the hills, and the 5.3L does not, but they're pushing similar wind resistance and they still do about the same. Disappointed the V6 seems as big of a gashog but not surprised.
