A 1994 Ford Escort?

I have a 1994 Escort. I have to clean the carb abd was wondering if it`s that hard. No hidden horrors for me to find and go mental over ? I have one and had to run low.. I think I sucked some crud up. No the car.... not me.. Just wondering.. Ta :-) It cuts out when I try to accelerate... Ta again..

Sure its not fuel filter or electric fuel pump. Maybe single point fuel injection,looks like a carb.You can run fuel injection cleaner thru the gas tank. Chevron Techron.

First thing,there isnt a carburator on your car,it is fuel injected.Dump a good can of fuel injector cleaner into a full tank of gas.That is the best you can do besides changing the fuel filter,or taking each individual injector out and cleaning them by hand.Good luck.
