Bring it in to the shop.If you say you can't turn left at all then its something most probably worse than the alignment being a little off. IMHO, it is either the left driveshaft is seriously damaged, there's a problem with the steering system or the car is totally out of alignment.

To check if it is the alignment/ steering, centre the wheel. both front tyres should be straight. Then, turn the wheel clockwise and then counter-clockwise, roughly counting the number of full turns. They should be approximately the same for both directions.

The rack is a shaft with teeth cut in it, that is inside a housing.
