1988 Buick park ave starts starts skiping when stop and going when hot but works OK when cold?
The LS1 is faster than the WS6. The problem with the WS6 too was the Borg Warner shifter instead of using a Hurst shifter.same engine, and ws6 is a suspension pkg
For people who know what there talking about with integras?
They have the same engine (LS1) and transmission options, and in fact the WS6, due to the forward placement of the ram air ducts (as opposed to the mid-hood placement of the duct on the SS) is actually a tad faster than the SS given equal drivers.why does Honda sell Integrity tires on new Pilot's, when you check Goodyear's website?
the WS6 is faster than the camaro even though the same engine it breathes better with the twin scoops up front.Camaro Z28s and SS's have the same engine as the Firebird Formula and Trans Am (and Trans Am WS6) - the LS1.
If you want to get absolutely technical, they did change the engine a bit most of those years (cam, intake). Anyway, the reason the WS6, which is only a performance package, is a bit faster is the placement of the hood scoop. It is setup ideally for the ram air induction. The SS Camaro's hood scoop is too far back on the car, causing the air flow to back track, reducing the effectiveness of the ram air function.
All things being equal, you probably won't even notice the difference, unless you are racing them over 70-80 mph. The ram air doesn't help that much until you get to the higher speeds.
