I Spoke with the owner and said she was the original owner and has all the maintenance records available. Is willing to get it inspected by a mechanic. She is an old lady with MS and can't drive it any more. What do you guys think?

I would say that's a good find. on a Toyota you can get over 100,000 miles, and the prices isn't bad either. However, the Corolla is small for some people, so think about hat first. But if the size works for you, I would go for it!Thats too much. You could get a newer corolla for less. lol

I think 98 is the first year of using a timing chain instead of a belt for the cams. It was a good move on Toyotas part. No maint. needed for better part of 200K miles on that. I like the new gen. engines better than the old AE series prior.1993 ford escort wagon wont start.?
