Is it true that the VW Passat gets into accidents all the time?
Headers, pullies, exhaust, intake, programmers, fans, practically anything.I have a programmer, flowmaster exhaust, K&N intake, and a Jet mass air sensor on my 01 with the 5.3 and I'm putting out about 330 to the wheels.

Both have great products for these trucks.
This is a great truck for bolt ons they are just expensive. If you plan on a supercharger, the roots stile is the best way to go And Eaton makes a good one. Banks, lingenfelter, and STS all offer turbo set ups. with the right engine management and a turbo can actually yield better gas mileage. If you are on a budget like most of us, start out with a high flow cat and exhaust system, headers are great too. Under-drive pulleys will make a difference you can feel and don't take long to install. Once you get the fever and can't stop go ahead and get the heads milled down and port matched to the intake and exhaust, don't forget the roller rockers, after you have all the bolt ons your going to get, get a hold of any cam company you choose and tell them what you have so they can recommend a cam. I personally use Comp cams. and the last thing you do after the bolt ons is get the computer tuned. You can do it with a simple programmer, but if you can find somebody that will tune it on a dino you will get the best results:)
