There are a lot of variables when it comes to guessing ET's.
First, is the car an automatic tranny or a stick shift. Stick shifts usually offer quicker response times if well handled. Also, what final drive gear do you have? A lower one will result in higher top speed, but slower acceleration, a higher one lower top speed, faster acceleration. Then, are your tires wide enough to put the power down? Finally, how much does your car weigh? A lighter car offers quicker accelleration.
But just to throw a number out there, if the car is close to stock, i would say it will probably run mid 6's. in the 8th mile.

I own a shop, and race a lot. To answer your question; you should see the low 10's to high 9's. If the car will hook up, and you are good at getting the tree without red lighting, then you can see low to mid 9's.

Low to mid 8's is VERY optimistic with a car that makes 315 horsepower. Slicks, traction bars, and a very experienced driver could put it into the 8's, but I see it every Thursday and Saturday at the strip, and your car is going to spin something bad. The track is a different world, as it is slick form rubber, and street tires without traction bars, the Mustang will spin very hard off the line, and hop the rear tires so bad that it will break something. Get it to hook is the problem! 10 inch slicks with about 12-15 pounds of air pressure, will bite, but the wheels will hop so bad it won't get going. I know this, see this all the time, and you can't use some calculator to tell what you will run. I race Mustangs just like this every week, and my pick up truck runs in the 8's. My Malibu runs in the low 5's, so just maybe that qualifies me as someone who just might know. I don't care if no one believes me or not, but the 04 Mustang has a BAD wheel hop problem. The only way you are going to get anywhere near the 7's is to put some anti hop bars on the car. Take it to the track, and then come back and vote. You would do best to run the 1/4 mile, as you could run most of them down. Those rice rockets are going to show you the door unless you get the rearend to stick.

If I can get my 265 RWP 2 ton sled (with me in it) of an 06 Mustang to run low 9's on street tires, you will get mid to low 8's I would think. Your biggest problem will be traction. You have to learn to launch without spinning or bogging. If you run a set of slicks or drag radials, then you will see better and more consistant numbers.
