depends on what jeep you have. I have a 1999 jeep grand cherokee and wanted to get just a normal sunroof however there's a roll bar in the roof so I was forced to get the jeep sunroof which cost $1800 to install b/c of the roll bar. If you just cut a hole in your roof you could jeopardize your safety in the event of a rollover.
