Not possible...you need to call your local VW Dealer and prepare yourself to get another key...though I know they are expensive to replace, but no other real choice. Sorry about your luck...Call a lock smith silly... A lock smith will come out to wherever your car is and help you out. Then call your dealership and get a new key.

Yes it is very possible. I have a 1999 VW Jetta and the same exact thing happen to me. I lost me electronic key but I still had the spare key which was not electronic. To disable the Alarm you are going to have to unlock the trunk with your key. Leave the trunk open and use you key to unlock the driver side door. It may take a couple tries for it to go through but this over rides the system and allows you to start your car. Once you do this the alarm should not go back on so you will have to lock the vehicle manually.Is it normal for a 1.9 tdi to lose power as it ages?
