SO I POSTED THIS ON AN AUTO FORUM AND THE REPLY I GOT WAS SAYING THAT IT WAS THE "intake air temp sensor" ANYBODY KNOW IF ITS TRUE OR WHAT?
What is toyota's hybrid synergy drive?
i have a 99 alero (2.4) and whenever i start it a noise like a "clunk" is heard immedietly after i start it from the bottom of my car. It only happens when i start it. any suggestions of what it might be?
Another noise is also made whenever i shift from reverse to drive; or drive to reverse. The noise seems to be coming from the transmition (i could be wrong, ive just flushed the tranny oil & changed the spark plugs) Any ideas on what that could be?

Bad motor/tranny mount. What's happening is when ur engine starts up, it "torques", and the noise is ur exhaust banging the bottom of your car. This will also occur when putting it in drive or reverse, as ur putting a load on the engine, causing it to torque to one side or the other. The motor/tranny mounts hold the engine in place, and are usually a solid rubber or a hydraulic mount.2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid interior storage?
