my car suddently didn't open the windows and also the alarm fails , also the sunroof fails to open, only the locks work, it seems that something electrical is going on, what should i do? check the fuses? i did and all of them are working, are there other fuses, ?, i don't want to take it to VW because they charge way too much, i need help,

most likely you have a sensor that has gone bad.My first thought also would have been the fuses.I hate to say it but you you are going top have to take it in

This is why I always buy a Chilton's manual .It's obviously a common voltage source.A fuse or breaker.The wiring diagram will show it.Then you have to figure which motor is drawing too much current and replace itthe sunroof and windows on my 1990 passat are controled thru a brain box located under the back seat. Not sure if your 2000 jetta's box is, but under the backseat is a good place to start looking. 8)

better u check the comfortbox belowe ur driver sit and CHECK the wireing from it some times the wireing can corosive .repaire the wireing than it wil work.

FIRST check fuses for sure. If you arent sure what fuse goes where, consult the owners manual! If it is indeed not the fuses and your sure, start searching the internet (which you are) for answers. google seach "volkswagen forums". read read read!!
