Is it okay to drive my car in d3 and then swap it to d4?

Question:
Is it okay to drive my car in d3 and then swap to d4 once its about to go in 4th gear? its an automatic. help please?

Answers:

I need parts / 2007 chevy silverado only anser if you have these parts or know exactly where i can get them ty

This is perfectly fine and will not damage anything. Usually we would move from D4 to D3 going up hills when the gearbox keeps switching between D3 and D4...ie it cant make up its mind which gear to be in. Or when coming down a hill for more engine braking.

Has anyone experienced this sensation?

However for normal driving to use your auto box as a manual is really a waste of time.

Ford vs. gm vs. chrystler?

Its kind of a waste of time, plus it makes the transmission work harder, I wouldn't recommend it, just leave it in D4.

I have a 2001 z71 it came with remote start when i bought it?

Yea its a waste of time its not like ur gonna go any faster if u really want to shift gears get a stick like me so u can take corners like a breeze
