Help with bell-housing bolts 95 S10 Blazer?

Question:
Any tricks to removing the bell housing bolts on a 95 S10 blazer? We have pulled everthing down to the block with the exception of the valve covers (and of course the heads).

I own a transmission shop, a "94" S-10 Blazer, and I can tell you these bolts are no fun at all. The easiest way to can get them out is; remove the cross-member, distributor cap (so you don't break it), drop the transmission down, and be careful to not break the radiator with the fan hitting the shroud. If I'm not mistaken you will have to remove the exhaust system at the headers. Once you lower the rear of the transmission, use a long extension, and a wobble socket on the very top bolts. The idea is to use the shortest extension you can get into the bolts with, and use an impact wrench to remove them with. Leave one bolt in it at the bottom that is easy to get to, so it can hold everything from falling out. There is not much of a way to remove them from the top side, as we have been there and tried that, but it just didn't work out. One other thing, you will have to remove the transmission fill tube, jacking the transmission up or down to get it out, to get to the very top bolts. You have no space to work in on these, and as you probably already know, they are a pain in the neck to get out.
I see some answers of them raising the body. I could have the transmission out on the bench while they were still trying to get the body bolts out. They are very hard to get out, and you will break the radiator if you raise the body up. With the tranny dropped down in the back, the extension and 9/16 or 15mm wobble socket will clear the seam in the body that protrudes in the way. Use a dremel tool to grind it a little if you have to. Thats still easier than raising the body! Deltech and BigC are the only others on here that have ever took one of these out, or made any money working on cars.
Part 2:
In case you didn't read it, I own a transmission shop, and do this all the time! We have done at least twenty of these over the past few years, and we have never raised the body on any S-10 blazer. There are some little trucks that must be done that way, but not the one you and I have. I have had my transmission out too. Trust me, when you get the crossmember out, and lower the back of it, you can then use the tools I was talking about.
Glad to help out, Good Luck!

Would it hurt to shampoo my 2000 Dodge Caravan's carpet?

The only thing you might need is a swivel socket and I think an 8" extension for the socket. Otherwise, jack the tranny up and good to go.

Why Audi rs4 is so expensive?

here it goes -unbolt your body bolts under radiato core support and front of cab and jack up the body a lil to get to them from the bottom -it was a crappy design -done many of them

Are ACURA RDX AND HONDA CRV are just one?

I'm the tranny guy at a gm dealer & if your doing this on the ground (with out a lift) the easiest way is to remove the body bolts raise the body up just enough to put a couple of 2x4 blocks in between the mount and body in the area behind the frt wheels this is secure and gives you just enough room watch the fan to shrould clearance

Can the 2003 G35 sedan's bumper be replaced by the coupe's? Is there a conversion available?

Lower the trans first, the removal of the cossmember will allow sufficient room for the long extension and swivel 9/16 socket to reach all of the bolts except the left hand one that`s hard to remove because of the body seam .use a ratchet type box-end for this one. This has always worked for me .hope this helps.
