For example for this year ('07 models) they added the LED Tail-lights. As for a Ground-up re-design, they usually go with a 5-year turn around for models for major re-designs. The current generation of 4Runner was introduced for the 2003 model year. So the next generation is scheduled for the 2008 model year, but there are no guarantees.
