99 Neon Ticking Lifter?

fact of the matter is it happens. There is an updated sparkplug to help resolve this concern. You say that you take great care of your truck. Did you have the updated parts installed?
Did your salesman not offer you an extended warrenty?
Did you know that if you had done the majority of your maintance at the dealer they may have offered to assist with helping pay for the repair?
I have a 4.6l powered ford product, and when i saw the first one roll through with the problem I did what a person that takes care of their car should do. I checked and made sure my plugs were tight.
Now as a tech its a time intensive job that involves removing an engine (as per the shop manuel) or lifting the body. They can also be done in the chasis but its almost not worth it.
I have never see or heard of a dealership repairing a head because ford does not approve of the repair. There are many aftermarket shops that will.

Has anyone had an electrical fault with a Peugeot 206 i start the car it beeps then i have to re set the clock

lemme tell you, as a person who has dealt directly with ford's warranty reps, its like shop talk, sure that one unidentified guy said he heard from someone something... what a bunch of crap, i have seen way more fords come in with diesel EGR problems... come to think... i have NEVER seen, with my own eyes that is, a 5.4 with the spark plug blown out.

How much horse power?

Now THAT is weird. Seems like someone screwed up in the threading of the spark plug holes on the engine. Or really HIGH compression with poor threading for the spark plug. Good info. I have souped up my old chevy and never have heard of a spark plug blowout. Next thing you know, there will be windshields flying off. lol

Where can i get a new engine for my 90 Honda Accord EX.?

I have a Triton 5.4 and haven't had a problem with it. I also retired from a Ford truck plant and do not remember anyone there talking about a blow out of a plug. I have heard that there was a problem at sometime somewhere but I think it was blown out of proportion.
ford tries to put out a quality truck. That's why they have been the leading truck for the last 30 years. Say what you want, but they are built FORD TOUGH.

Looking for 1968 ford fairlane front clip.?

Car commercial?

Yes spark plug "blowouts" are fairly common of the 4.6L and 5.4L V8s. However, I don't think that it's common ENOUGH for Ford to be willing to address the issue. I am sorry about your misfortune, as I'm sure MANY of the techs that service their vehicles are for the customers who own them. Take heed in the knowledge, that you are not alone. One very important factor that article addresses, is how poorly the technicians are compensated for their hard work. To replace the cylinder head on your vehicle, requires removing the body from the frame, in order to gain access. I realize that sounds ridiculous, but that's how tightly these engines are squeezed into these trucks. If the public is made aware of the situation, hopefully there will be more public support for those who service their rides. Just my 2 cents. I hope you come to a favourable resolution to your situation.

Is the Toyota Matrix 1.8 engine adequate enough?

I have fixed them all the time its because they some were over tighten deliberately at the factory to make ford look bad , it all the same Cylinder and all the same series motor and its a simple fix done several, I do them for a hundred bucks and all day long simple, , go to Kragen get a 14 mm thread repair kit & tap cost ten bucks and weiled on an extension, and tap it and screw in the coil with red lock tite and your done, the spark plug is steel and the threds are aluminum, and you can not over tork it 15 foot lbs and your good to go, in my years I have seen this all the time but it was Chevy and dodge most of the time and the heads were cast iorn , when your in the buisness this is a regular thing for all MFG

Alfa romeo 89 spider ran out of gas then car won't start. what do I do now?

That's really weird. Ford hasn't had many problems like that and it was a default in the engine. Hopefully it doesn't happen again.

My Nissan 350z's brakes are squeaking. All the time, except when I turn right or press the brakes all the way
