Question:
I don't drive off-road at all just highway. I have a 2000 dodge durango and want a comfortable ride cause the stock shocks don't ride smooth.
Answers:
where is a heater core located on my 98 escort gt?
If ride comfort is your chief concern, I would choose the Edelbrock IAS . The inertia valving system used in these does work from my experience. They will give you a smooth ride during normal driving and a noticeable increase in cornering control when driving aggressively. I like them enough to have purchased two sets in the past few years , both for chevy 2wd.trucks.
The Bilstein shocks are also excellent and would be a good choice if you weren't primarily concerned with a soft ride. I personally like the ride quality (firmness & control) they provide
but it's not for everyone. I have Bilsteins on two chevy 4wd ex.cab trucks(factory installed as part of the z71 pkg.) and have no complaints.
In summary, the Bilsteins will behave like 180-200 psi (med-high pressure) shocks, all the time. The Edelbrocks will be softer most of the time, only getting stiffer during more aggressive driving. The choice is yours.
Good Luck with the Durango!

You want to make sure you stay with a low pressure shock if your looking for ride comfort, I would reccomend the Bilstein.when i hold the throttle steady in my 86 bmw 528 e it fluctuates, why?
Get the edelbrock. They are meant for more heavy duty applications like suv's. Bilstein are meant more for tuners and such, not as durable for a big truck. HOPE THIS HELPS!!More Questions & Answers ...
