I can't get my 98 chevy 2500 to start. it clicks and has ample power but won't start any ideads?

May just be hot wire not tight on terminal at starter or battery. Just for giggles pull battery cable, make sure it's nice and clean, then replace it. Now check starter end secure.
If that doesn't help, next thing to check is solenoid on starter. If it has dirty secondary contacts, then it pulls in, making a clicking sound but doesn't pass juice to the starter motor. (Get local gearhead to show you where to stick the screwdriver) If that doesn't get it, it's time for the starter.
