On the panel, the lamp of the hand break is on, even though the break is down. Is it a fuse problem or something else? I checked the fuse boxes and couldn't find the one for the hand break.

check your brake fluid level. the light is not necessarily only for the hand brake. the light also tells you if something is wrong with the braking system.Help with a 93 jeep grand Cherokee?
i had the same problem and it ended up being my actual brakes needed replaceing. wierd i know but check it outTry pushing the handbrake down even after its down. It may have a couple more inches to go. Its probably just a circuit or something.
u reelie shouldn b tryin 2 look for a fuse if u don noe how. ask a mechanic to tell u, check out everything, maybe some wires got crossed and that is affecting the connection btween light and brake. since u don hav ne info, its impossible to confirm exactly what is the answer, so u need to get a mechanic if ur gonna get the rite answer. plus ur assuming that the light is malfunctioning.did u consider that maybe its the brakes?? c if ur brakes need replacing.

open the hood and check your brake fluid. the cap is your brake sensor for the fluid. if your reservoir is full flip your cap over so the flout is up. check and see if your light went off. if so replace your brake cap.1985 carbureted 305 ci. pick up --the metering solenoid has two wires?
