1977 Porsche 924 4 cyl is not getting gas to intake injector?
To clear some things up. the 99 Grand Cherokee doesn't have a V-6. It is an Inline-6 or (aka straight-6 or I-6). This means your cylendars are in a straight line instead of being in a "V", across from each other. For Jeep, this is a much better design and makes the engine a lot more efficient and powerful. It's been around a long while because it works. The Grand Cherokee's V-8 motor as some people pointed out, aren't as efficient as they could be and that is true, however, they are also a mainstay motor and are easy to maintain and easy to find parts for. The resale value of a GC is not the best in the market but these days any SUV's resale value is less than stellar because of gas prices. It all comes down to what you want. The GC is a well designed and is widely agreed to be comfortable and "just right" as far as size. Not too small, not too big. If it's a 4x4 you are looking into, know that you would be getting the best 4x4 system anywhere as it is Jeep's all mechanical design with no electrics to fail you or freeze up. All in all the GC is a great vehicle and from a service point of view; owners are happy with them and keep them a long time and when they do need some repair it is not nearly as pricey as a foreign machine. I have to tell you, take it from a guy who works on them-the GC is an excellent vehicle and is my favorite car to drive. It matters how much money you're willing to spend on a car.
Need help!! Remote door opener for Chevy Blazer quit working?
these older model jeeps like the one u want, give people a lot of probs, my friend she had one and traded it in for a new altima, down the line it will give ur probs and the resale value on it sucks, if its a v8 GAZ GUZZLER!Will a set of rims off a honda prelude fit a ford escort?
dont. the resale sucks& so does the gas mileageThat would be a bad choice. You can check the second hand car handbook or yahoo auto. The resale value is bad, consume too much gas. You would be better off with a toyota 4 runner or rav4.
Hope this helps.
Why is the peugeot 406 coupe so rare to find?
if it has the v6 it's a great car. It gets decent gas milege and is comfortable to ride in. It was the best car i ever had. But they roll easy.Does anyone know about the reliability of a Ford F150 with a 4.2 V6, manual tranny?
HelloAdvice on a 2003 Chevrolet monte carlo?
This is a very broad question, but ill do my best.
There are several questions involved here. The first is your basic mileage and age considerations and condition of the vehicle. The secon is more specific. What motor does it have? My mother had a 1997 jeep with the four-liter inline six cylinder that ran ok considering it had 230,000 miles on it.
It was always very reliable, and we never had any mechanical problems with it until it reached about 220000. If the vehicle has been well maintained, and is priced right, I would have no reservations about buying another one, which we just did a short time ago, this one is a 2002, which is very similar to the 1999 model, and we have been very happy with it so far.
I hope i have been helpfull.
P.S. The other engine is a very powerfull, but somewhat inefficient V8. Our six cylinder gets between 17 and 26 MPG.
get a real Jeep, get a wrangler
4WD is not working in my Ford Explorer 2001?
if you want to buy SUV than its better to buy 4 runner even if it is couple of year of older than what you want to buy. if you buy 97-98 4 runner with 100-150 thousand miles you are still better off with this choice.i own 2 jeeps and i love them go ahead and buy it they have good resale and they last a long time. but will cost you more than another suv the same age
Were there any four-door Ford Thunderbirds made and if so in what years.?
Jeeps are very reliable vehicles if you take care of them (i.e. changing oil and filters on time, regular tuneups, and having repairs performed by a trusted mechanic).73, merc.cougar frt. end parts needed!!?
I own a 96 Grand Cherokee and haven't had any major problems other than a new starter at 187,000 miles, and a new radiator but other than that all I do is regular maintenance and I don't have problems.
Is Toyota Model GG-EE103V EFI ?
As far as gas mileage, the V8's aren't very good, mid teens to low 20's depending on driving habits, but the inline 6 cylinder engines are pretty good on gas. I average about 24-28MPG on my Jeep with the inline 6 engine.
Is threr such thing as a odometer calibration statement?
120,000 miles on our '99 GC. Engine and transmission run like new. Been fairly reliable, brakes were an issue at first until I installed aftermarket pads and rotors. Still has original exhasust, shocks etc. Changed 2 tie rod ends, 3 fan control relays, 1 door latch and battery cable set. Wife and kids beats the crap out of the interior, but she drives it anyway. We tow small boat trailers and utility trailers w/no problem. Gas mileage sucks (4.0 I6) 15-17 average, 18-19 maybe on the highway.More Questions & Answers ...
